What is uss chicago cg 11?

USS Chicago (CG-11) was a guided missile cruiser in the United States Navy. She was the lead ship of the Chicago-class of guided missile cruisers and was commissioned in September 1964.

During her service, USS Chicago participated in the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and various other conflicts and operations. She was also involved in the recovery efforts of the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster in 1986.

USS Chicago was decommissioned in 1991 and was eventually sunk as a target during a training exercise in 2006. Today, a memorial plaque in honor of the ship and its crew is located in the city of Chicago, Illinois.
